Work Visa

Various Visa Options for Overseas Workers in Australia

Temporary Skill Shortage Visa (Subclass 482)

This subclass 482 visa offers three streams:

1) Short Term Stream
2) Medium Term
3) Labour Agreement

1) Short Term Stream: This stream requires your nominated occupation to be on the STSOL list. Applicants need a minimum of two years' work experience in the nominated occupation, along with a relevant skills assessment if required.

2) Medium Term: For this stream, the nominated occupation must be on the MLTSSL List. Applicants can apply for up to 4 years, with potential eligibility for permanent residency later on. Similar to the Short-term Stream, applicants need at least two years of work experience in the nominated occupation, with a relevant skills assessment if necessary.

Both the Short-term and Medium-term streams aim to address labor shortages by allowing employers to hire skilled workers when suitable Australian candidates are unavailable.
